The International WeLoveU Foundation Mobilizes 7 States in Powerful Push to Refill America’s Blood

WeLoveU Mobilizes Communities in San Diego, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia and Las Vegas During Hispanic Heritage & Sickle Cell Awareness Month

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation in partnership with Vitalant will host a mega blood drive at the Las Vegas Convention Center in celebration of WeLoveU’s 21 years of life-saving blood drives. There will be musical performances, activities and more. Now in its 21st year of hosting life-saving blood drives, WeLoveU is setting an ambitious national goal to collect 2000 pints of blood—a vital contribution to help address the ongoing blood shortage crisis across the United States.

This year’s national goal is to collect 2000 pints of blood, with the Las Vegas chapter aiming for a local record-breaking 200 pints. The initiative supports both Hispanic Heritage Month and Sickle Cell Awareness Month, raising awareness of the urgent need for blood donors from all communities. In 2024, WeLoveU increased its blood collection by 848% and achieved 106% operational efficiency, directly contributing to Vitalant’s life-saving mission.
