Work And Lane Restrictions Continue Weekdays Through September 2025

Starting Monday, July 28, 2025, and continuing through the next 10 weeks, utility adjustments, milling and paving operations will occur on St. Louis Avenue between Paradise Road and Atlantic Street. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Traffic will be generally restricted to one travel lane each for both east- and westbound travel. Motorists should expect delays. Sahara Avenue and Oakey Boulevard are recommended as alternate routes for east- and westbound traffic.
Milling and repaving will take approximately eight days within the 10-week schedule, subject to equipment availability. Utility adjustments will take place both before and after repaving.
Preliminary work was completed consisting of improvements to the sidewalk areas to meet federal Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, which included the reconstruction of concrete cross gutter, curb and gutter. The current work consists of partial-depth pavement removal and reconstruction, installation of temporary traffic delineations and bike lanes.
Las Vegas Paving is the contractor. The city of Las Vegas is managing the project. The estimated cost of the work is $1.1 million funded by the Federal Highway Administration and matched with Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax proceeds. Call 702.649.0986 for any concerns during the work.
