Reno, NV: RightCount, an organization dedicated to rebuilding trust in Nevada’s secure election system, today announced the launch of its Nevada-based team and operations. The effort will be led by Nevada state co-chairs former Republican Governor Robert List and Republican State Senator Heidi Gansert. List and Gansert announced their affiliation with RightCount in an op-ed that can be read here.
“The integrity of our electoral process is the bedrock of our nation’s strength. However, recent years have witnessed a concerning decline in trust in our elections,” List said. “As a former Governor of this magnificent state, I’m proud to partner with RightCount and local Nevadan leaders, particularly my fellow Republicans, as we work to restore trust and confidence in our state’s electoral system.”
“Nevadans must resist the divisive rhetoric that threatens to undermine our civic institutions,” said Gansert. “We must stand together in defense of the integrity of our elections. That’s why I am honored to align with RightCount, an initiative devoted to restoring faith in our elections.”
RightCount was organized to restore trust in the electoral process and to support the public officials sworn to uphold the rule of law and ensure legal and accurate vote counts. The operation is actively recruiting and mobilizing local Nevada leaders including veterans, firefighters, faith and business owners to help restore faith and trust in the security of the state’s elections.
