Beachy vibes, Miami vibes in the middle of a desert? Totally! Recently launched in the OG dayclub space that formerly was Wet Republic, this new daylife player is in town, and its offerings are stellar. Palm Tree Beach Club at MGM Grand is a beautiful, pink-and-green-colored paradise spread across 60,000 square feet. The vibes and aesthetic come from world-renowned DJ and producer Kygo, his manager Myles Shear and their lifestyle and entertainment brand, Palm Tree Crew, supported by Las Vegas nightlife and daylife juggernaut Tao Group Hospitality (its other Vegas hot spots include Marquee nightclub and dayclub, Tao Beach Dayclub, Tao nightclub, Hakkasan nightclub, Omnia nightclub, Jewel nightclub and Liquid dayclub). It’s safe to say with this collaboration the new dayclub is already a Vegas must-experience.
“Las Vegas has always been a special place for me, so I’m beyond excited to open our venue on the Strip—and there’s no better place to kick off my first-ever daytime Vegas residency,” said Kygo in a news release. “I’m so grateful to bring this vision to life with our partners at Tao Group Hospitality and MGM Grand. Can’t wait to see my fans and Palm Tree Crew family in Vegas!”
Experience Palm Tree Beach Club on Monday and Thursday through Sunday, with big-name EDM DJs on the weekends, taking over the massive booth and surrounding performance area built with state-of-the-art sound and visual systems. Signed to the roster this season includes Steve Aoki, Zedd, Tiësto, Alesso, Martin Garrix with Justin Mylo, DJ Pauly D and, of course, special performances by Kygo throughout the summer that include live instrumentalists, singers and even him playing the piano. “We’re attracting a globally minded, music-first crowd,” said Gino Dipietro, senior director of VIP marketing for Tao Group Hospitality. “From tastemakers to seasoned festivalgoers, Palm Tree Beach Club is built for those who want more than just a party—they want a vibe they’ll remember.”
And that vibe is swept up in gorgeous amenities including a saltwater pool, a dozen beach villas that are elevated above the main area offering optimal views paired with a VIP experience and private dipping pools, 10 coastal cabanas, dozens of daybeds surrounding the pool and ground-level stage, covered lounge area and huge bar area. “Every inch is designed to transport guests,” Dipietro said. “From the décor to curated food and beverage programs, even the staff wardrobe and service rituals reflect the laid-back elegance of a tropical resort.”
Pair the day of partying with an impressive menu of specialty cocktails with stand-out favorites that include the Can I Kick It, a twist on the Mexican mule with 1800 Cristalino tequila, Coco Chai, Q Mizers Premium hibiscus ginger beer and lime and the energy-boosting cocktail, The Floor Is Guava, a blend of Three Olives vodka, lemon, guava and Red Bull Yellow Edition Tropical. For some real group fun (serves four to six), order the eye-catching Bird of Paradise, served in a large copper flamingo and mixed with Absolut Elyx vodka, Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto, lemon, strawberry rhubarb rose and a bottle of G.H. Mumm rosé, poured tableside. For some more Instagram-worthy choices, there are also cocktails served in pineapples and coconuts, celebrating that tropical vibe.
“From curated villas to daybed-style lounging, everything is designed to amplify connection, music and atmosphere,” Dipietro said.
