Brookwell McNamara Entertainment, Blind Logic Productions, and Bernstein/Romero Productions, have joined forces to produce One Man’s Vision, a motion picture based on the extraordinary life of blind automotive pioneer Ralph R. Teetor.
The film is inspired by the book, One Man’s Vision, by the late Marjorie Teetor Meyer.
The creative team behind the successful 2024 biopic Reagan reunites, with screenwriter Howard “Howie” Klausner and acclaimed director Sean McNamara at the helm.
Producing the film are David Brookwell, Jack Teetor, and Gary Bernstein, with Klausner also serving as executive producer.
McNamara recently directed the John O’Leary story Soul on Fire, a Sony Pictures release for October, Emile Hirsch’s Holocaust drama Bau: Artist at War, a September release by Paramount Pictures, with a track record including the breakthrough Soul Surfer, On a Wing and a Prayer, and others.
Klausner’s writing credits include Space Cowboys for Clint Eastwood, and The Last Ride, The Identical, among others. David Brookwell is a veteran producer of feature films and television with film credits including Soul on Fire, Bau: Artist at War, Soul Surfer, and other notable film and television movies.
The film traces Teetor’s inspiring journey from a gifted blind boy to a pioneering inventor in the American automotive industry, most notably Cruise Control.
Jack Teetor, founder of Blind Logic Productions and great-nephew of Ralph Teetor, helped spark the film’s development after producing the award-winning documentary, Blind Logic, based on the same book, which premieres July 8th across digital platforms and cable providers.
As Teetor stated, “The heart of this film is the love story that fuels Ralph’s triumphs, yet we embrace his remarkable journey overcoming unthinkable odds. I feel extremely fortunate to have such a respected creative team bringing this vision to life.”
The project began when veteran television producers Gary Bernstein and Ernesto Romero introduced Brookwell McNamara to Jack Teetor and discussed a feature film about Ralph Teetor’s life.
Gary Bernstein produced the highest-rated series on six different networks including Lingo, which has been on the air domestically and internationally for five decades.
Bernstein commented, “After reading the book, One Man’s Vision, I knew immediately it needed to be a motion picture and I’m excited to play a role in bringing it to fruition. Ralph Teetor’s life story caused a major positive paradigm shift in my life and I’m certain the motion picture will do the same for millions of others.”
McNamara added, “I’m so excited to be making One Man’s Vision for the big screen. This is an extraordinary American story that is not just about bringing Ralph Teetor’s remarkable journey to life, it’s about illuminating the power of resilience and innovation against all odds. I am thrilled to share his inspiring legacy with the world!”
