(KSNV) — Developers and city officials celebrated the start of construction Tuesday on a large-scale project planned for the Symphony Park area of Downtown Las Vegas.
Red Ridge Development hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking for Origin at Symphony Park, a mixed-use development that will feature a luxury high-rise, a grocery store, creative office space and more.
Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley joined Red Ridge CEO Patrick Brennan and other dignitaries for the celebration.
Origin will feature over 100,000 square feet of retail, office and market space, according to Red Ridge.
A performing arts school is also committed to relocating to the area, and a national grocer, restaurant and retail lineup will be announced in the future.
Described as the first new residential-only high-rise in Las Vegas in over 15 years, Cello Tower already has more than $140 million in residential sales, the developer said. It will feature 32 floors, 240 residences and over 40,000 square feet in private amenities.
Red Ridge says the project is part of the broader effort to transform Las Vegas’ urban core.
