Findlay Subaru of Las Vegas to Surprise Children’s Medical Center at Summerlin Hospital

Patients with Donation of Blankets and Patient Care Kits in Partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society®

The donation, part of the Subaru Loves to Care® initiative, provides warmth, love and support to local patients facing cancer

WHAT: Every three minutes, a new patient in the U.S. is diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma.* The treatment and rehabilitation process can often be long and arduous, leaving patients feeling cold, confined and in a weakened state.

As part of the Subaru Loves to Care® initiative, Subaru of Las Vegas is surprising patients at Children’s Medical Center at Summerlin Hospital with a donation of 80 blankets, messages of hope and patient care kits. Subaru of Las Vegas is also contributing $10,000 to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS) Urgent Need Pediatric, Adolescent and Young Adult Fund.

Media are invited to attend the event to capture the delivery, and speak with Summerlin, LLS, and Subaru representatives.

Patients will receive the warm blankets, and care kits that include fuzzy socks and eye masks, stress balls, and coloring books and colored pencils to pass time while undergoing treatment. Patients will also receive handwritten messages of hope, personalized by Subaru of Las Vegas customers and employees.

Subaru of Las Vegas is one of more than 600 participating Subaru retailers nationwide working with LLS to help support families and children impacted by blood cancer. This is the ninth consecutive year that Subaru of America has partnered with LLS. Subaru is the largest automotive donor to LLS, and by the end of 2024, retailers like Subaru of Las Vegas will have supported nearly 350,000 cancer patients around the country.

Subaru of Las Vegas has supported Children’s Medical Center at Summerlin Hospital for multiple years. The partnership is part of Subaru of Las Vegas’ year-round commitment to the local community which includes additional partnerships with the Nevada SPCA, Clark County School District, Get Outdoors Nevada, and more.
