Chattah vs. Stone: Nevada pedophile scandal erupts into all-out MAGA war

On Monday, our Brittany Sheehan wrote about “a senior Israeli cybersecurity official” who “was arrested in Henderson, Nevada, during a two-week undercover sting operation targeting individuals suspected of attempting to solicit sex from minors online.”

The official “posted bail set at $10,000, was released, and has since returned to Israel.”

A firestorm of outrage and frantic finger-pointing commenced.

Sigal Chattah, Acting U.S. Attorney for Nevada, posted the following on X the same day: “A liberal district attorney and state court judge in Nevada FAILED TO REQUIRE AN ALLEGED CHILD MOLESTER TO SURRENDER HIS PASSPORT, which allowed him to flee our country. The Attorney General @AGPamBondi just called me outraged and she also called the @FBIDirectorKash. The individual who fled our country should have had his passport seized by the state authorities. He must be returned immediately to face justice.”

But the “liberal district attorney” in question, Clark County DA Steve Wolfson, was having none of it. In an interview, he told the Las Vegas Review-Journal: “The standard bail for this charge was $10,000, so anybody, upon being booked on that charge, can post that bail and get released with no conditions, and that’s what happened in this case.”

And @AFpost, in a separate tweet yesterday, threw the ball back in Chattah’s court: “Sigal Chattah, US Attorney for Nevada and a Trump-appointed, Israeli-born official, announced that her office will not prosecute Israeli child predator suspect Tom Artiom Alexandrovich, leaving the case in the hands of the local district attorney. This is odd, as the other seven individuals charged in the same federal child sex sting are being prosecuted by her office.”

Dr. Anastasia Maria Loupis, who has 185,000 followers on X, weighed in on a subsequent development: “Israeli-born, Jewish, Acting US Attorney for Nevada Sigal Chattah, who let the Israeli Pedophile escape, just deactivated her X account @Chattah4Nevada.”

To which well-known Trump adviser Roger Stone replied: “Sigal Chattah must resign. She will never be confirmed by the US Senate because she has the IQ of a cantaloupe. Unqualified and disloyal she must be removed.”

To be honest, I don’t know what the heck is going on here.

But Chattah is MAGA and Stone is MAGA. For Stone to turn on Chattah in such a brutal and public manner is, to say the least, significant. Maybe warranted?

Something to keep an eye on.

UPDATE: August 20, 2025 @ 11:36 a.m.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal published a new statement from District Attorney Steve Wolfson:

“I’m not sure which judge our U.S. attorney was referring to, because she’s often confused and often irresponsible in her assertions. Whatever state court judge she was referencing, it’s a false and reckless claim. Those claims could not be farther from the truth. I deal with facts, not political garbage. This behavior by our U.S. attorney is further evidence of her unfitness to serve.”
